Our extended curriculum is there to provide the children at Ackton opportunities to develop interests, develop new talents and widen their horizons.
We have a bespoke after school club offer which is planned to meet the needs of the children at Ackton. Some clubs are by invitation only, when we are meeting a specific need or group of children, whilst others are open to all. We aim to develop knowledge, interests and cultivate talents. All clubs are planned to impact attainment.
Complimenting this is our wrap around clubs which are also carefully planned with activities to support children’s learning and development.
Maths Club – provides the opportunity for Year 6 pupils to explore exciting challenges and activities designed to boost their skills and confidence while having fun.
Young Voices – provides an opportunity for Key Stage 2 children to have fun and to practise songs to prepare for the Young Voices Concert.
Sewing Club – offers a fun environment for Key Stage 2 pupils to learn how to sew whilst boosting their confidence and creativity.
Drawing/Art Club – encourages self-expression and allows Key Stage 1 children to explore their creativity in various ways.
