At Ackton Pastures our school dinners are cooked fresh on site by Aspens/Swift Kitchen. The price of a school meal for pupils is £2.70.
Orders are made online in advance via the SwiftKitchen app. If you do pre-order and your child is absent from school please remember to log into your account and cancel the order.
A pupil’s account is only allowed to fall in to debt by 3 meals. If this is exceeded, no further meals can be ordered until the debt is cleared.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals. Some children in Key Stage 2 may also be eligible for Free School Meals through benefits. If you believe you may be entitled to this, please apply online using the link below.

If your child already gets Universal Infant Free School Meals you should still apply as you may receive FREE milk on receipt of this entitlement. Please enquire at the school office for more information.
The Academy promotes healthy eating. Children are not allowed to bring sweets, chocolate or drinks other than water.
The Academy is also part of the government’s School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, which provides a piece of fruit or vegetable for every child in Nursery and Key Stage one each day. Children in Key Stage 2 are encouraged to bring fruit to eat during morning break.
Children are also strongly encouraged to drink water and will need a water bottle each day. Please encourage children to bring their bottle home each evening in order for it to be thoroughly washed.
Milk is FREE to Nursery pupils and is ordered by school.
Reception to Year 6 – Whilst your child is under 5 years of age school will automatically order milk for them. When your child turns 5 you will have to start paying for milk if your child would still like it.

Children in receipt of FSM who would like milk at school must inform the office – no need to register with Cool Milk.
